What is a Balance Bike?

A balance bike is a pedal-free bicycle initially invented by the German baron Karl Drais in the early 19th century. Also known as a training bike, the balance bike is designed for young children and features two wheels, a simple frame, and a low saddle. This design allows children to learn how to balance and steer without the need for pedaling.

How to Use a Balance Bike?

First, the child should sit in the middle of the saddle, hold the handlebars with a firm grip, and start moving forward by pushing against the ground with their feet. This technique helps the child develop balance while controlling the direction by slightly tilting the handlebars. This gradual learning process makes the transition to a pedal bike much easier.
