Use of BoxUp.

How does it work?

Just download the BoxUp application available for free from the App Store or Google Play and create your account.
You will then find all the information on how to use BoxUp directly on the application.

What equipment can I use?

On the BoxUp application, you can see the objects made available in each station. The objects vary according to the location of the stations.

How long can I borrow equipment?

You can dispose of the material for a maximum of 3 consecutive hours. We will be alerted if the time of use is exceeded.

Is the use of BoxUp free?

Yes, the use of BoxUp is completely free for its users.

Is it possible to reserve a locker?

No, it is not possible to reserve a locker. You can, however, find out if the lockers are being used from the application.

Can other people open the locker I'm using?

No, the locker is only accessible by its user. So you can safely leave your stuff in the locker during your activity.

Can I access several lockers at the same time?

No, each user can have one locker at a time. If you wish to change activity, you must return the borrowed item to its locker before you can dispose of another one.

What do I do if I lose or break something?

You have to report the problem from the app. We will process your application and replace the hardware if necessary.

What happens if I don't bring something back voluntarily?

If we find that a user has deliberately taken an item without returning it, we reserve the right to ban it from the application and to initiate collection and compensation proceedings.

What if I put my smartphone in the locker?

If, in spite of our indications, you left your Smartphone in the locker, you can connect to your account on the BoxUp application from another Smartphone in order to open the locker. If you don’t have any other Smartphones available, you can contact our hotline by phone or e-mail to find a solution.

Where is my data stored?

We work with the company Infomaniak to host and store all the data on a secure server in Switzerland.

Installation of BoxUp.

How to install a BoxUp station?

All you have to do is choose your station and provide a flat, concrete surface for its installation. The stations are fixed to the ground and powered by solar energy. Once installed, we register the station in the application with its location and content so that it is visible to all BoxUp users.

Can we make our own material available to users?

Yes, the station owner can choose to make his own equipment available. BoxUp does not provide a warranty on this equipment.

What happens if something is broken or missing?

Depending on the loss or breakage, we block the locker remotely and warn you that an item needs to be replaced. The replacement task can be assigned to BoxUp or to the station owner depending on the service chosen. Once the object is replaced, we unlock the locker to the users.

How do you deal with equipment theft?

We ask users to take a photo of the material handed in their locker at the end of the activity. If we find that a user has deliberately taken an item without returning it, we reserve the right to ban it from the application and to initiate recovery and compensation procedures.

Who manages the users?

BoxUp is in charge of monitoring registered users on the application and ensuring the smooth running of the service.

Is it possible to change the objects offered in a station?

Yes, if you wish to change the items offered, just contact us. Depending on the use of each object, we can also suggest you to change the material if necessary.

Can we move a station?

Yes, it is possible to move your station, just contact us.

Is it possible to expand the station?

Yes, all BoxUp stations are modular. You can add lockers at any time if you wish.

Do we have statistics on station usage?

Yes, BoxUp provides an annual report in order to know the usage statistics of the station during the year.
