What is beach volleyball?
Beach volleyball is a variant of traditional volleyball played on the sand, usually on a beach. Two teams compete on either side of a low net stretched over the sand, aiming to get the ball to the other side without it touching the ground. This sport requires great agility, precision and excellent coordination, as it is often played in changing outdoor conditions.
How to play beach volleyball?
Two teams, generally made up of two players on each side, compete by trying to get the ball over the net without it touching the ground on the opposing side. The teams are allowed three touches to return the ball. The aim is to score points by getting the ball to touch the ground on the opposing side or for the opposing team to commit a foul. The teams change sides after each point scored, and play continues until one team reaches the set or point total required to win the match.
