What is pickleball?

Pickleball, sometimes referred to as light tennis, is a variant of classical tennis. It is considered to be a North American racket sport that combines aspects of tennis, badminton and table tennis. The court size corresponds precisely to that of badminton.

How do you play pickleball?

To play pickleball, two or four players compete on a court and use rackets to exchange the ball, hitting it over a low net. The server throws the ball diagonally to start the rally, and the receiver must return it after it bounces once. The aim is to score points by preventing the opponent from returning the ball successfully. The game continues with exchanges until one team commits a foul. The rules on bounces, fouls and scoring vary according to the level of play, but in general the game involves fast exchanges and requires agility and precision.
